Body of Man Found on Hillside Identified
Police have identified a body found on a remote hillside here last week as that of Monte Chris LeBlanc, 39, of Costa Mesa.
“There wasn’t enough trauma to cause death from those injuries,” Laguna Beach Detective Ron Sapp said Monday. “We don’t suspect anything out of the ordinary, but we’re waiting for the toxicology reports to come in. There doesn’t appear to be any foul play.”
Two mountain bikers discovered LeBlanc’s body shortly after noon on Feb. 3 in the brushy hills above Laguna Canyon Road near Stans Lane.
Although police have received several calls from citizens about the incident, Sapp said none of the information has helped in the investigation. Anyone with information may call (714) 497- 0701.
