Fractured Collarbone Puts Santos Out at Least a Month

HALLANDALE, Fla. —
Jockey Jose Santos will be sidelined for at least a month because of a hairline fracture of the right collarbone.
The injury resulted from a spill in the eighth race Friday at Gulfstream Park when Hi Lo Eleven broke down badly at the quarter pole.
Jockey Heberto Castillo Jr. sustained a bruised ankle in the starting gate Saturday and was expected to be riding again in a few days.
