And Now, the News: KTLA’s morning news made news Tuesday by beating all three network morning shows for the first time since its debut last July. Overnight ratings from the A.C. Nielsen Co. gave KTLA a 5.3 rating and 18% share of the audience from 7-9 a.m. NBC mustered a 4.5 rating, ABC a 3.9 and CBS a 2.6. Each rating point represents 50,000 homes. KTLA and other local stations have been offering extended coverage of the severe rains over the last several days.
