Man, 23, Dies After Mission Hills Shooting
A 23-year-old man was shot several times while standing in front of a Mission Hills gas station late Sunday and died of his wounds a short time later at Holy Cross Medical Center, police said Monday.
The man, identified as Alfred Salas Acosta, was standing near Laurel Canyon Boulevard and San Fernando Mission Road shortly after 11 p.m. when he was shot. He died at 11:31 p.m.
Police said they believe that the shooting was gang-related. Officers with the Foothill Division of the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the death.
