POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: Huntington Library Director William A. Moffett will speak on “Political Correctness and the Huntington’s Anglo-American Tradition” at 8 p.m. Monday at the library, 1151 Oxford Road.
NO COMPETITION: Long Beach school board members will consider removing the District 4 seat from the April 14 municipal ballot and declare the only candidate, Ed Eveland, the winner. The board meets Monday at 4 p.m. in the board room at 701 Locust Ave. in Long Beach.
HOLLYWOOD: Actor Edward James Olmos is to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame outside the Hollywood Galaxy Theater complex, 7021 Hollywood Blvd. on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
CRAFT FESTIVAL: The L.A. County Craft Festival opens for three days beginning Friday from noon to 8 p.m. at Fairplex in Pomona with 250 booths representing 300 independent craft workers from across the nation. Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $1 for ages 6-16.
