ORANGE : Preschool Program Gets $106,000 Grant

Rancho Santiago College has received a $106,000 grant from the state Department of Education to provide child development and educational programs at the Orange Adult Learning Center.
The preschool program, which will provide education and day care for children of students, will accommodate 44 3- and 4-year-olds.
The program is also part of the college’s child development teacher training. It will stress parental participation in children’s education and address nutrition and health, as well as physical and mental education, according to district spokesman Henry Kertman.
