SIMI VALLEY : Autopsy Reveals Man Had Been Shot
An autopsy of a human skeleton found in the 400 block of Tierra Rejada Road in Simi Valley concluded that the victim was a man who died at least two years ago from a gunshot wound to the head, police said Thursday.
Coroner’s investigators determined that the victim was white or Latino, between 20 and 40 years old, and between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He had extensive dental work, including a bridge with a false upper right middle tooth, police said.
The remains were found in a ravine near Tierra Rejada Road by a hiker earlier this week.
Simi Valley police detectives are asking anyone with information that may help identify the victim to contact the Police Department. A murder investigation is continuing.
