SMALL FACES: “Wynonna,” the first solo album from Wynonna Judd, will be in stores on March 31. Her retired mom, Naomi, sings backup on one song. Judd the Younger will start her first solo tour in April. . . .

The Judds are apart, but Emerson, Lake & Palmer are back together. The progressive-rock trio will play its first concert together in nearly 15 years July 21 at a U.S. site to be announced. A reunion album is due in stores in April. . . . N.W.A member Dr. Dre has started his own label, Death Row Records. A hint as to what he has in mind for the company came when invitations to a Grammy-night inaugural party were printed as realistic “subpoenas,” delivered by very real looking, very big, burly guys dressed as security personnel.

Lindsey Buckingham’s long-delayed third solo album is now on Warner Bros. Records’ schedule for an April 28 release. Believe it when you hear it. But if it gets postponed again , the same date is scheduled for the release of his former Fleetwood Mac mate John McVie’s first album, bearing the bulky title, “John McVie’s ‘Gotta Band’ With Lola Thomas.” . . .

Now here’s some real heavy metal: Def American Records is issuing a limited edition (just 10,000 copies), metal-encased version of Slayer’s live “Decade of Aggression.” But it will take some cold cash to get the cold steel package--the suggested retail price for the two-CD set is $39.95.
