COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Nevin Slam Keys 7-Run Inning; Titans Rally to Defeat Illinois

Phil Nevin’s grand slam keyed a seven-run seventh inning as Cal State Fullerton defeated Illinois, 12-6, Saturday in a nonconference baseball game at Amerige Park.

Dante Powell went four for five with three runs and two RBIs, and Steve Sisco added three hits, two runs and two RBIs to pace the Titans (9-4).

Former Mater Dei High School standout Larry Sutton had two hits, including a bases-empty home run in the first inning, for Illinois (1-4).
