WARNER CENTER : Council OKs $3,000 for Concert Series

The Los Angeles City Council on Friday approved spending $3,000 to help underwrite the costs of a concert series at Warner Park this summer.

Councilwoman Joy Picus, who represents the Woodland Hills area, recommended the expenditure for the concerts, which have been held annually for 18 years. The concerts will be held every Sunday of the summer, beginning May 31, said Margaret Pontius, a Picus aide.

Funding for the popular concerts is provided by local businesses.
