Motorist Killed in 3-Vehicle Collision
A man was thrown through the windshield of the mini-truck he was driving and was killed Saturday in a three-vehicle collision, authorities said.
Ernesto Vargas, 27, of Placentia was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Placentia-Linda Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead as a result of a head injury.
The accident occurred at Melrose Street and Orangethorpe Avenue. The other motorists involved, Rabie Kahill Bulus, 23, of Santa Ana and Sally Rene Labhart, 45, of Anaheim were not injured.
Police said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
