Free-agent linebacker Pat Swilling of the New Orleans Saints has accepted a first-refusal offer sheet from the Detroit Lions, which gives the Saints seven days to match the offer. If New Orleans doesn’t, Swilling would be committed to the Lions, and New Orleans would get Detroit’s first-round choices in 1992 and ’93.
