League That Go an Extra Step
Women’s league tennis has recently expanded in two areas.
Until three years ago, women who couldn’t play during weekdays had no competitive alternatives. Now they can join the Sunset League, which fields teams at the B and BB levels and plays evening matches.
For women over 49, the Over 49ers League is being organized. Four teams, each with eight players, have been formed.
