Body of Woman Found in Irvine
The body of a woman who appeared to have been dead for a week was found Thursday afternoon in a rural area of Irvine, officials said.
Farm employees inspecting an orange grove east of Trabuco Road between Jeffrey Road and Sand Canyon Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. found the clothed body of the woman, whom investigators were not able to identity.
Sheriff’s deputies said they were handling the case as a homicide.
Investigators described the woman as 15 to 30 years old; 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and 110 pounds with dark brown, shoulder-length hair.
She was wearing a white, short-sleeved T-shirt, blue floral-print baggy pants with a drawstring waist and a pair of navy-blue shorts underneath.
Anyone with information regarding the woman is asked to call (714) 647-7055.
