In other Lions’ AA Division games:

Santana 14, Madison 4--Ninth-ranked Santana (11-4-1) pounded out 24 hits. Shane Hobbs had four of them and Jaron Ross three. Madison fell to 10-4.

Torrey Pines 3, Hoover 2--Nate Wagner had two doubles and an infield single that sent Mitch Bosler home with the winning run in the seventh for Torrey Pines (4-7-1). Also for the Falcons, Anthony Napoli went four for four and had three stolen bases, and Ryan Lynch went two for three with two RBIs.

Hilltop 3, University City 2--Bobby Lugo’s groundout pushed across Pablo Baltazar in the bottom of the fourth for Hilltop (4-9). University City fell to 4-9.

Crawford 2, San Pasqual 0--Junior right-hander Larry Haley (3-1) threw a four-hitter with nine strikeouts, including three in the seventh after San Pasqual (3-8-1) had loaded the bases. Robby Wadas drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly, and Sammy Gagliano squeezed in Junior Sanchez with the second. Crawford improved to 4-7.

Mission Bay 7, El Cajon Valley 0--Sophomore second baseman Joe Enomoto had a triple, a home run and two RBIs, and Shane Strohberg went two for three with two RBIs for eighth-ranked Mission Bay (8-4). The Bucs are 2-0 in the tournament and have clinched a berth in Wednesday’s semifinals.

Valhalla 7, Serra 6--Rob Reid was four for five with two doubles, a triple and a game-winning RBI single in the ninth for Valhalla (6-8-3). Teammate Derrick Waller was three for four with three RBIs.

USDHS 9, El Camino 1--Aaron Blair went one for three with three RBIs, including a two-run homer, to lead the fourth-ranked Dons (11-2, 2-0 in the tournament). David Cefena went two for five with two RBIs, and Tony Bruno added a two-run single for USDHS. Martin Arispe went three for four with a solo homer for El Camino (5-10).

AAA Division

Castle Park 7, Morse 6--Pinch-hitter Scott Whitman’s two-out, two-run single tied the game at 5-5 for Castle Park (6-5). Alex Ruvalcaba was three for three and scored three runs, including the winning run in the sixth. Castle Park catcher Kiko Palacios was two for four with an RBI. He also picked off two runners, one with the bases loaded, and threw out another runner attempting to steal.

Granite Hills 4, San Dieguito 3--Cory Waterhouse had a shutout going for No. 7 Granite Hills (9-4) when Scott Sanders belted a bases-loaded three-run double with one out in the bottom of the seventh. In the top of the 10th, Pat Bowers’ two-out single drove in pinch-runner Bobby O’Donnell.

Sweetwater 3, Helix 0--Three of Sweetwater’s last four games have been shutouts, and the Red Devils have given up only one run in their last 31 innings. Erik Gallardo went the distance for his second consecutive shutout--he blanked Castle Park last week. Sweetwater (7-5) has also turned seven double plays in its last two games. Helix fell to 9-6.

Monte Vista 9, Southwest 6--Jason Darling went two for four, and Shane Davidson had two doubles for Monte Vista (8-7-1). Mario Pacheco went two for three with a two-run homer for Southwest (5-5-1).

Poway 4, Point Loma 1--Jeff Pattison was two for three with a double, and Chris Wisdom knocked in the game-winning run with a double for sixth-ranked Poway (10-2, 2-0 in the tournament). Point Loma fell to 7-9-1.

San Marcos 2, Mt. Miguel 0--Ryan Dunne (3-4) pitched a five-hit shutout with five strikeouts and beat Chris Green, who also allowed five hits.

Fallbrook 8, Patrick Henry 6--Steve Pack, Tim Pearson and Eric Fifer combined for half of Fallbrook’s 10 hits. Pack had a home run, Pearson two hits and three RBIs and Fifer two hits and one RBI. The Warriors improved to 6-6-1.

A Division

Julian 7, Clairemont 5--Jeff Wilson struck out eight and gave up four hits in his second complete-game victory for Julian (6-5). Graham Koonce hit his seventh home run, a two-run homer in the first inning.

La Jolla Country Day 5, Lincoln 4--Jamie Blake was one for one, drove in two runs, and struck out nine for LJCD (7-5). Teammate Chris Grasso picked up two hits and scored two runs. Marvin Hood’s two-run homer in the sixth narrowed the gap for Lincoln.

Coronado 4, Santa Fe Christian 1--Santa Fe Christian avoided the shutout with Deric Shires’ seventh-inning homer, but the Eagles (5-5) were never really out of it because Coronado (9-5) stranded 15 runners. Russell Mize was two for three with a triple and one run, and Craig Goldstein went two for two, scored once and drove in a run for the Islanders.

West Hills 13, Francis Parker 3--Gil Campana was three for three and drove in five runs for West Hills (5-6). Parker dropped to 5-4.

St. Augustine 13, Bishop’s 1--Memo Lopez had two doubles, a triple and five RBIs for St. Augustine (11-2, 2-0 in the tournament).

La Jolla 8, Christian 5--Jason Green (triple), Jerry Franco (game-winning single) and David Myers (two-run homer) keyed a five-run sixth inning for La Jolla. Greg Giles went three for four with three RBIs for Christian. La Jolla (9-4, 2-0 in the tournament) has clinched a spot in Wednesday’s semifinals.

El Dorado Invitational Tournament

El Capitan 9, Menlo 2--In Las Vegas, Sam Carlino drove in five runs with a two-run home run and a three-run double, and Pat McMillin (4-1) struck out seven and did not walk a batter as El Capitan (9-5) handed Menlo (9-1) its first loss.
