RESEDA : Fire Damages Church Office
A fire broke out in the office of a church in Reseda early Tuesday, causing an estimated $65,000 in damage, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The 4:23 a.m. blaze in the 18800 block of Erwin Street damaged only the office area and did not harm the sanctuary of the Grace Hungarian Reformed Church, said Jim Wells, a department spokesman. There were no reports of injuries.
Four engine companies doused the flames in 13 minutes, Wells said. The cause of the fire was under investigation, but authorities said it did not appear tied to last week’s unrest.
