1 Worker Killed, 2nd Hurt During Razing of Building

CYPRESS — One worker was crushed to death and another was injured Saturday when a heavy steel support fell on them during the demolition of a building here.
Cypress police said they responded Saturday morning to a call that two construction workers had been injured in an industrial accident at 5120 Lincoln Ave. Officers said one of the workers was found dead beneath the steel support and another was injured and taken to a nearby hospital, which was not identified.
The names of the victims were not released by police pending notification of their families.
Investigators from the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health were called to the scene Saturday, police said.
