Four teen-agers attending a party suffered minor wounds late Saturday in a drive-by shooting believed to be gang-related, police reported Sunday.

The three girls and one boy, all juveniles, were treated at a local hospital for shotgun pellet wounds. The shooting took place at 11:40 p.m. Saturday in the 9800 block of Russell Avenue.

“A dark-colored vehicle drove by (the party) slowly and stopped,” and someone got out and fired two shotgun blasts at several teen-agers standing outside the house, police said.

The shotgun pellets struck three girls, one 17 years old and the other two 16. The shotgun blasts also wounded a 15-year-old boy.

Lt. John Woods said one teen-ager was arrested shortly after the incident, and police are trying to determine if he was among those in the car from which the shots were fired.
