Household Bank in Port Hueneme was the target of a bank robber Tuesday, the second time the bank had been held up within three months, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the lunch-hour holdup, in which a man presented a demand note to a teller at the bank on North Ventura Road, said FBI Special Agent Gary Auer.
According to witnesses, the suspect, who appeared to be in his late 20s, entered the bank at 12:36 p.m. and escaped on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, Auer said. No weapon was seen, he said.
Household Bank was also robbed on Feb. 20, Auer said.
The suspect, who witnesses described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build, is believed responsible for the May 4 robbery of an east Ventura branch of the Bank of A. Levy, Auer said.
The bank robbery was the 44th in the county this year, he said.
