ENCINITAS : Suspect Arrested in Car Lot Stabbing
A 25-year-old auto detailer was stabbed to death Thursday by a disgruntled ex-employee in the parking lot of an Encinitas car dealership, authorities said.
Travis Payne was stabbed about 3:48 p.m. in the parking lot of Harloff Chevrolet. He died en route to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Police later arrested Amilio Enciso, 24, of Encinitas, who was being held without bail Friday in the Vista jail.
Authorities are still seeking to discover the motive for the killing.
