A Reseda school official has been named the 1992 Secondary School Principal of the Year aby a statewide group of school administrators.

Robert E. Kladifko, principal of Reseda High School for five years, was recognized Saturday in San Francisco by the Assn. of California School Administrators as one of 17 outstanding educators across the state, said Judy Good, an association spokeswoman.

Kladifko, who has worked in education for more than 30 years, was one of five finalists for the award, which honors exceptional leadership. Judges cited his work with the school’s leadership council and his “strong sense of community involvement,” Good said.

“I was surprised,” Kladifko said Monday of his award. “But the whole ‘family’ here deserves it. . . . I received the award on behalf of everyone who helped our school be successful.”
