ANTELOPE VALLEY : College Taking Bids for 2 New Buildings
Antelope Valley College officials announced Tuesday that they would start accepting bids for the construction of a library and an administration building.
College President Allan Kurki and other officials said the two-story library and the one-story administration building would represent the first significant new on-campus structures since 1974, when the auto shop was built.
The project is being funded through state revenue bonds and state general obligation bonds, officials said.
Groundbreaking for the buildings is planned to take place this summer, with occupancy expected next year.
