Wright, La Follette Win Support From Law Enforcement

Assemblywoman Cathie Wright and former Assemblywoman Marian W. La Follette have been endorsed by various law enforcement organizations in their contest for the 19th state Senate District seat.

Wright (R-Simi Valley) and La Follette are competing with Fillmore City Councilman Roger Campbell in the June 2 Republican primary to represent the district, which stretches from Oxnard to the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, covering Castaic, Gorman, Lake Hughes and Val Verde and portions of Chatsworth, Granada Hills, Mission Hills, North Hills, Northridge and Sylmar.

Among the groups that have announced support for Wright are the California Assn. of Highway Patrolmen, the Marshals Assn. of California, the California Correctional Peace Officers Assn., the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs, and the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Officers Assn.

La Follette has endorsements from the Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs Assn., Ventura County Dist. Atty. Michael D. Bradbury, the California State Police Assn., the Los Angeles Professional Peace Officers Assn. and the Los Angeles Police Protective League.
