Mike Shady beat leading qualifier Parker Bohn III, 247-178, to win the $125,000 Earl Anthony Open at Dublin, Calif., for his first Professional Bowlers Assn title.

Shady beat David Traber, 245-234, in the semifinal match after overcoming a gutter ball on his opening shot. He had strikes in seven of the next eight frames and took control of the final with seven consecutive strikes.

Traber opened the stepladder finals with a 255-188 victory over Scott Devers and then beat Mark Turney, 227-221.
