2 La Canada Pupils Win Science Fair Awards
Two La Canada Flintridge students recently won awards in the California State Science Fair hosted by the California Museum of Science and Industry in Los Angeles.
Candace Chang of La Canada Flintridge, an eighth-grader at La Canada High School, won second in the junior category for engineering applications. Robert Cobb of Altadena, an eighth-grader at Flintridge Preparatory School, won third in the same category. Both schools have seventh through 12th grades.
Junior division is seventh and eighth grades; senior is ninth through 12th grades. Each division had 15 categories: behavioral sciences, biochemistry, botany, chemistry, computers, earth sciences, engineering applications, engineering research, mathematics, environmental sciences, microbiology, pharmacology, physics and astronomy, physiology and zoology.
