NORTHRIDGE : Couple Killed in Crash Near Fresno
A Northridge couple driving to their vacation home near Fresno were killed when another driver ran a red light and crashed into their car, authorities said Wednesday.
Stephen H. Krum and Margaret Krum, both 46, died as a result of the accident early Saturday near Sanger, a small town north of Fresno, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Their daughter, Cindy, and a friend, Laura Allen, both 14, were treated at a local hospital, authorities said.
The couple owned and operated the Chatsworth Animal Clinic in the 21400 block of Devonshire Street and were on their way to their cabin for the Memorial Day weekend, clinic employees said. The Krums were traveling north when another car ran a red light and broadsided their vehicle, causing the Krum car to crash into a light post, the CHP said.
