The United States, the host nation for the 1994 World Cup tournament, will play defending champion Germany in December, 1993, with Los Angeles as a possible site.
Germany and the U.S., who have never played, received automatic berths in the 24-nation, 52-game World Cup, which will be played from June 17 to July 17, 1994.
