Noise N the Hood: John Singleton, Ice Cube and the Fire This Time
- Share via
Ice Cube speaks of America’s limited view of black men as either good or bad (“The Rap Is: Justice,” by Robert Hilburn, May 31). He’s right on target.
And nothing angers Americans more than when someone they thought was one of the good ones turns out to be one of the bad ones.
Would you like an example? John Singleton, the darling of Hollywood for the last year, who has been showered with praise by the industry and the public (because they thought he was one of the good ones) will now be scorned, denigrated and denounced because he is a black man who dares to speak out.
Just watch.
