Jeff Jacobs of El Cajon, seeking his sixth consecutive title, took a step toward that goal on Mission Bay by sweeping his three events on the Bud Jet Sports Tour for personal jet-propelled vessels. Jacobs won the Pro Modified One, Pro Modified Two and the Pro Slalom.
Vista’s Victor Sheldon took second to Sheldon in all three events. He is leading the tour’s overall points standings.
Another local winner was Vista’s Scott Watkins, who won the Men’s Pro Freestyle.
El Cajon’s Chris Fischetti was third in Pro Modified One, while San Diego’s Jim Lupold and El Cajon’s Mike Jacobs took second and third in the Pro-X Modified. Lupold also was second in the Pro X-2 Limited, while San Marcos’ Brian Kennedy took third.
San Diego is the third stop on the 10-city tour.
