Jordan Has Sore Heel, Skips Practice

Share

The Chicago Bulls’ Michael Jordan didn’t practice Monday because of a sore left heel. He isn’t expected to practice today, but says he hopes to play in Wednesday’s Game 4 of the NBA finals.

Jordan said the injury has bothered him off and on recently. He aggravated it during Sunday’s Game 3, stepping on the Portland Trail Blazers’ Buck Williams’ foot.

“I was a little bit limited,” Jordan said. “ . . . It loosens up when I play, but after games, after the sweat goes down, the soreness starts to come back. It was too much of a bother (Sunday) night.”

Jordan still scored a team-high 26 points with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

The Bulls lead the series, 2-1.
