A woman and two children were killed when their automobile crashed head-on into a school bus on a winding mountain road, flipping the bus down an embankment, the Highway Patrol said. At least one of the 10 children in the bus was injured and taken to Marshall Hospital in Placerville. A 7-year-old boy was trapped briefly when his arm and leg were pinned in the bus wreckage. He was freed by the first rescue workers at the scene, witnesses said. He was listed in stable condition. The crash occurred about 20 miles north of Placerville.
