Jeanne Golay became the first double winner and Dave Nicholson was part of the winning men’s team time trial squad for the second straight year in the U.S. Cycling Olympic trials and national championships at Imler, Pa.
Nicholson, 31, of Seattle, joined Nathan Sheafor of Boulder, Colo., George Hincapie of Farmingdale, N.Y., and Scott Mercier of Telluride, Colo., on the winning team in the men’s 100-kilometer event.
Golay, 30, of Glenwood Springs, Colo., joined Eve Stephenson of Boulder, Colo., Phyllis Hines of Atlanta and Bunki Bankaitis-Davis of Boulder on the winning team in the women’s 50-kilometer race.
