Charles Barkley’s trial on battery and disorderly conduct charges neared a quick completion as the defense rested its case after calling only one witness.

Closing arguments are scheduled today in the trial of the Philadelphia 76er star, who broke the nose of a Milwaukee man last December with a punch. Barkley did not take the stand.
