The Pacific 10 Conference barred Washington State’s men’s track and field and baseball teams from postseason competition next season and stripped the school of conference track and field titles won in 1985 and 1991. Reviews by both the conference and university found that out-of-state tuition waivers were not calculated into the value of scholarships awarded in those sports.
