Students’ Achievements Celebrated at Luncheon
Several Pasadena students were honored at the Business Outlook luncheon of the Pasadena-Foothill branch of the Los Angeles Urban League and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Civic Assn.
Middle school achievement awards were presented to Tracy L. Anderson, Erwin Mendez and Joey Carey of Washington Middle School and Melissa Bereal, Ronson Darkwa and Jacqueline Robinson of Woodrow Wilson Middle School.
Special middle school achievement awards for black males were presented jointly by the league and the Black Male Forum of Pasadena. The winners were Dane K. Ward and Jamal N. Strong of Washington Middle School and Sheldon Swift and Dwayne Owney of Woodrow Wilson Middle School.
