SAN DIEGO : Man Arrested After Standoff Ends
A SWAT team action by San Diego police ended peacefully early Sunday after a man walked out of a house where he had been holding his ex-wife and children, Lt. Tom Worden said.
The special police team had been ordered to the house at 3838 Z Street in Southeast San Diego after Robert Vigil, 24, telephoned police to say he was holding his ex-wife, Maribel, at gunpoint, Worden said.
But after talking with his mother, Vigil left the house without incident and was taken into custody for investigation of spousal abuse, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, Worden said.
There were no injuries to the three children and only minor injuries to his ex-wife, Worden said.
