The station wagon was traveling east on Del Obispo Street at high speed when it suddenly veered across the street, running into several trees before crashing against the light standard, said Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Olson.

Hurt in the accident were Hector Martinez, 23, Marko Conde, 24, Esteban Ramirez, 26, Lois Sabay, 22 and Juan Fajaldo, 23, all of San Juan Capistrano.

Olson declined to release additional information about the incident, pending further investigation.
