San Diego : Guilty Plea Entered in Molestation Case
A Navy corpsman who worked as an X-ray technician at Children’s Hospital has pleaded guilty to five charges related to the sexual molestation of boys, three of whom were under his care.
Edmund Lee Settle, 24, pleaded guilty Thursday to three felony counts of child molestation stemming from attacks on three boys at the hospital. He also pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of child molestation and one misdemeanor count of displaying pornographic material to minors, two Boy Scouts in a troop he led.
Settle could be sentenced to 12 years in state prison Sept. 9.
The victims’ ages ranged from 7 to 15, Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Madruga said.
