SOUTH LOS ANGELES : $25,000 Offered in Slaying at Fast-Food Restaurant
The City Council authorized a $25,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunman who shot and killed a woman in front of her two children in the drive-through lane at a fast-food restaurant in South Los Angeles.
Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas introduced the motion to post the reward in the murder of Anita G. Robertson, 30, of Los Angeles. Robertson was confronted Friday by a gunman minutes after she placed her order at the window of the Jack-in-the-Box restaurant at 103rd Street and Central Avenue. Authorities said the gunman leaned through the window of her car and demanded her purse. There was a struggle and she was shot in the chest.
Police said the gunman, described as black, between 5 feet, 7 and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wore a tan hat and a dark blue or black trench coat with an insignia on the back. He was armed with a handgun and had a blue bandanna across his face. Anyone with information is asked to call (213) 237-1310.
