An unidentified man was shot by police Tuesday night during a robbery attempt at an Arby’s Roast Beef restaurant in Mission Hills, the restaurant manager said.
A man driving a late-model Camaro pulled up to a drive-through window of the restaurant in the 11000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard and demanded money from a cashier around 7:30 p.m., said Manager Jon Godfrey.
The cashier and another employee moved away from the area and alerted two police officers dining in the restaurant that an armed robber was standing at the window, Godfrey said. The cashier and five other employees moved into a back room, and then heard shots fired, Godfrey said.
The wounded man was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said. His condition was not known.
The Devonshire Division police station declined comment on the incident.
