Expulsions Put Private Schools in a New Light
In the article “Students Dismissed Over Sins of Parents” (July 30), we see another example of insensitive and unloving leadership that is increasingly becoming the hallmark of a church hierarchy that is drifting further and further from the spirit and teaching of Christ.
Rather than being concerned over the “foul language” of a few hurt and frustrated parents, I would be more concerned about the “foul” and shameful behavior of an uncaring clergy. As a pastor of a Catholic community in Orange County, I want the parents and children of these families to know that I support them and that I will stand with them on the day of school registration to protest this harmful treatment of their children.
