A Clarification on Angela Oh Story
I would like to take this opportunity to clarify two points made in the article “Out of Chaos, a New Voice” (July 20, 1992).
The article stated that Angela Oh was appointed as a co-counsel to the Assembly Special Committee on the Los Angeles Crisis by Speaker Willie L. Brown Jr. As Chairman of the Special Committee, I interviewed and hired Ms. Oh as co-counsel, not Speaker Brown.
In addition, the first hearing of the committee was held May 9, 1992.
There were four subsequent hearings held prior to Ms. Oh’s assuming the committee counsel position in June.
