Authorities arrested a California man Friday in San Diego and sought three others accused of murdering a man in Arizona, then encasing his body in cement and putting it in a Hollywood storage locker.

Scottsdale police spokesman Sgt. Tony Marcos said Andrew Elias Jr., 26, was arrested Friday morning.

Marcos said three other men from Southern California still were being sought on first-degree murder warrants: Jeff Lyne Cox, 22; Larry J. Barrick, 23; and James Sean Stacy, 27. Their hometowns were not available.

Marcos said his department was notified Aug. 5 by Los Angeles police about a body found July 31 in a rented storage locker in Hollywood.

The man was identified as Charles Dewayne DeDavis, 29, and he was slain July 24 in Scottsdale before being taken to California, according to Marcos. Marcos said DeDavis was from the Los Angeles area and had rented a Scottsdale home only a few days before he was killed.

He said DeDavis’ body was found in a freezer that had been filled with cement and placed in the storage locker. The manager of the storage facility had called Los Angeles police July 31 to investigate a foul odor coming from the locker, Marcos said.
