Just Give This Reader the Facts: 49ers 4, Rams 0

In reference to your story on the San Francisco 49ers (Aug. 18), I couldn’t help myself in writing in their defense. The fact of the matter is that the 49ers have four Lombardi trophies. The Rams have zero. All of the other material you put in this article is insignificant. The 49ers were the team of the 1980s, plain and simple.

I have been a Raider fan all my life. I made fun of the 49ers and their fans until 1981, when they became a true champion under Bill Walsh. I have learned to accept the 49er domination. Sour grapes Ram fans should do the same.
