WEST HOLLYWOOD : Swastikas Found Painted on Condo Complex Walls

Share

Four swastikas were found spray-painted on a condominium complex Tuesday morning in the northern section of West Hollywood.

Jonathan Perry, 60, walked outside of his condominium unit on North Larrabee Street at about 4:30 a.m. to bring in the newspaper when he noticed the swastikas on his garage and along the walls of the condominium complex. Perry reported the incident to the West Hollywood sheriff’s station.

Detective Pam Sivelle said spray-painted swastikas are “not common in West Hollywood, but it has happened before.”

Perry, who is trying to sell his condominium, said he believes the swastikas were painted because he is Jewish and in retaliation for a letter he wrote to the complex’s homeowners’ association, complaining about the way the association was using money.
