NORTH HOLLYWOOD : Massage Parlor Suit Alleges Prostitution

Share

The Los Angeles city attorney’s office filed a civil lawsuit Tuesday alleging acts of prostitution took place at a North Hollywood massage parlor where five people have been arrested in the last two months.

Sook Kim, who operates Valley Accupain Control Center, was named the defendant in the suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Deputy City Atty. Henry Burr said.

“This suit alleges that the location is being used for prostitution,” Burr said. “So we’re asking the court to make them stop.”

The Los Angeles Police Department began investigating the business, at 10700 Burbank Blvd., in June after receiving complaints from customers shortly after the parlor opened in May, Burr said.

Authorities arrested five people while conducting two undercover operations at the parlor in the last two months, Burr said. Two people were arrested on suspicion of prostitution and three people were arrested on suspicion of working as massage technicians without city permits.
