After a recent shootout that left three people dead in a local bar, the City Council decided unanimously Tuesday to revoke the establishment’s business license.
The decision permanently closes Las Palomas bar, 724 W. Alondra Blvd., which was shut down Aug. 9 by police, one day after five people were shot by two gunmen. According to police, the gunmen bribed the bar’s security guards with $35 to enter the business with their weapons.
In the last seven years, nine people have died violently in Las Palomas bar, police said, and the business has been the site of 27 felony violations ranging from aggravated assault and robbery to murder.
