FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Advisory on Freeway Work

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

1. Long Beach: Southbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Cherry Avenue to Redondo Avenue and the Cherry and Spring Street on-ramps; 6 a.m. to noon today.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

2. Downey: Southbound No. 4 lane from Florence Avenue to Firestone Boulevard and the Florence Avenue on-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday; marker repair.

3. Lakewood: Southbound No. 4 lane from Studebaker Road to 195th Street and the South Street on- and off-ramps; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday ; marker repair.

4. Lakewood: Southbound No. 4 lane from 195th to Centralia Road, including the Del Amo Boulevard on- and off-ramps; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday; marker repair.

5. Lakewood: Southbound No. 4 lane from Centralia Road to Wardlow Road, including the Carson Street on- and off-ramps; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday; marker repair.

6. Santa Fe Springs: Southbound No. 1 lane at Telegraph Road under-crossing; 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; bridge repair.

7. Whittier: Southbound No. 1 lane at the Bexley Drive under-crossing; 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday; bridge repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

8. Vernon and Bell: North and Southbound No. 1 lanes from Humphreys Avenue to the Los Angeles River; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; sweeping.
