2 Women Found Shot, 1 Fatally, at Friends’ Home

A mother and daughter housesitting for friends in Agua Dulce were found shot Sunday in an attack that left the younger woman dead, authorities said.
The two women, whose names were not released, were found by the owners of the home in the 8900 block of Hierba Road shortly after 7 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Robert Stoneman said. The daughter, who was 33, was pronounced dead at the scene. The mother, 55, was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
It was not clear when the shooting took place, Stoneman said. No further details were available.
