Maybe Aztecs Need Tougher Opponent
Despite its name, football is primarily a game of running, passing, tackling and blocking. These are the skills most of the players practice, and then execute during most of the game.
It is preposterous that so many football games are finally won or lost by kicking a field goal. This specialty skill is usually performed by a single atypical player who is generally not involved in any other aspect of the game. Kicking goals is admittedly a difficult athletic feat--but it is totally irrelevant to the essential action of a football game.
It would make as much sense to decide the outcome of games by having the drum major come into the game with a crossbow and arrow and try to shoot an apple off the head of a cheerleader.
